Should PROTRACTION be perfect all the time or not❓ Let’s break it down. For example, let’s say you can hold a tuck planche for 15 seconds, and you decide to start working on the advanced tuck planche. Now, as you begin opening into the advanced tuck position, you might notice that you start losing protraction. That’s totally normal. When you move to a harder progression, it’s okay if the form breaks down a bit—especially if you’re only holding the position for around 3 seconds. With time, as you build strength and increase your hold to 5–7 seconds, your form will improve. You’ll be able to maintain protraction better during the first few seconds of the hold. And once you can hold the advanced tuck for 8 seconds and move to the straddle planche, it’ll be the same story again. So don’t get frustrated—just keep working toward your goal. #calisthenics #planche #coach
20 years ago, I spent two weeks living with my grandparents. Every morning, my grandpa would wake up at 6 AM and do his workout: mobility, push-ups, squats, abs. He woke me up too, and before school, I followed his routine. He taught me how to do a proper push-up — and I guess he couldn’t have imagined where his grandson would end up. #calisthenics #fitness #dad
